Senator Imee Romualdez Marcos graced the distribution of cash assistance through the MAKABASA LATTA Program to Benguet State University students at the BSU Gymnasium.

Senator Marcos led the distribution of cash assistance to more than 1,000 BSU students who were affected during Super Typhoon Egay. Each student received 5,000.00 pesos.

This initiative is part of the MAKABASA LATTA program, established by the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), which aims to provide financial and other means of support for the students.

Senator Marcos was accompanied by Benguet Governor Melchor Daguines Diclas, La Trinidad Mayor Romeo Kimo Salda, COP PMAJ Leonard Damasen, PD PCOL Damian Olsim, RD PBGEN David K. Peredo, Jr., Caroline Bayongan of the DSWD-SWAD, and other DSWD officials. In attendance also were BSU officials led by President Felipe Salaing Comila.
